SCAA at Police Commission Community Meeting
The Safe Community Action Alliance (SCAA) presented at the Saskatoon Police Commission Community Meeting, introducing the alliance to a broader community audience and sharing its mandate, membership, and early priorities.
The SCAA media conference, held on September 28, 2018, marked the official public launch of the alliance. Representatives from the alliance's 29 founding member organizations were present as community leaders announced the formation of this collaborative effort to address Saskatoon's most pressing safety and well-being issues.
The launch video, presented at the Police Commission meeting, outlined the SCAA's structure, the two working groups — the Crystal Meth Working Group and the Housing Working Group — and the commitment of member organizations to a coordinated, data-driven approach to community safety.
The alliance continues to welcome engagement from the broader Saskatoon community as it develops its strategic actions and long-term approaches to root-cause issues.
